Visionary architecture worth to see

30.01.2015

Soon The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts will organize an exhibition dedicated to the Visionary architecture. Visionary architecture is the name given to architecture projects which exists only on paper because of their complexity or cost or other reasons. In Russia the term Visionary architecture appeared at the end of 1980 because of conceptual direction of architecture at that time. Russian architects offered their project to European companies, their projects were published in foreign magazines but still remained only on paper. So appeared a new genre combining architectural design, graphics and conceptualism.

For example the Model of future Moscow and other paper projects were exhibited in many famous museums in Paris, Milan, London etc. The most unique and interesting architectural projects will be published in a special edition of the exhibition journal.
